There’s no better place to experience elegance and musical legends quite like DAR Constitution Hall. Located in the heart of our nation’s capital and just minutes away from The White house, DAR is a historic venue that was built to host performances, experiences, and meet-ups of like minded people trying to connect with others over common similarities and taste. And the same goes for Jeezy’s Thug Motivation Tour - now twenty years on from it’s release and with a whole new concept to inspire it’s sound and the entire performance, Jeezy is adamant on giving us a new taste of his classic sound and where his head is - even as he enters thirty years in the rap game. The 2025 TM:101 Live Tour will absolutely be one for the books - DJ Drama is opening, and Jeezy is teaming up with The Color of Noize orchestra to produce his sound as a symphonic melody every stop along the way. Led by renowned conductor Derrick Hodge, the tour will hit six stops across the country for this special black tie only event. Including stops in Music Hall in Dallas, The Hard Rock in Rockford Illinois, Miami’s Knight Center, Stifel Theatre in St. Louis, and of course - right here in D.C.
Jeezy is an absolute walking legend. If you know anything about early 2000s rap history, and / or you listened to the radio anytime between the late 90s and the mid 2010s, then you absolutely heard some of Jeezy's music as he dominated the airwaves. He is the bridge between the old rap legends like Snoop Dogg and Tupac and the new (yet now older) ones like T-Pain and Kanye. A pioneer in the trapaholics rap subgenre alongside other legends like T.I and Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy brought hard lyrics about real life problems to the mainstream with albums like Thug Motivation, as well as countless radio hits across his career. Thug Motivation peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 when it was released back in 2005, and sold 172,000 copies in its first week alone - and that’s BEFORE streaming was a thing yal. The album went on to be a double platinum hit, and its lead hit with Akon Soul Survivor was a club anthem, and Jeezy’s highest charting song to date. Jeezy reps legendary status no doubt, as well as a long list of collabs with contemporaries at the time like Nas, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Akin, Usher, and many many others. And if you haven’t seen him live - make sure to check out the YouTube video we linked below that showcases his 10 year anniversary tour for Thug Motivation. Then - get ready for the best show of the summer.
